Highest achievement 76 of 100 4 inch bullseyes at 200 yards with a muzzle loading rifle.5 John emigrated at the age of 23 yearsdeparting from Wörishofen, Bavaria through Antwerp, Belgium via the Belgium steamer ship Constitution arriving New York on 03 July 1857 and entered the country through Castle Garden. Per Tom Poehlmann, 2nd great granndson to John Michael, John, born 1834, emigrated by himself and once he was established in Milwaukee, his parents and siblings came over the next year and settled in Goldenthal, Washington County.5,6

On 1 Jan. 1808 was born Michael, a son of Jean Francis Meunier Serrurier (weapon smith) in Ramrath and his wife Gertrude Huppertz.1,2,3 On Wednesday, 13 April 1831, John Michael, age 23, oo married Anna Gertrude Kropp, age 22, at Evinghoven, Kreis Grevenbroich, district Devinghoven, Kreis Grevenbroich, district of Düsseldorf, Bavaria.4,5 John + died, at the age of 75 years, on Wednesday, 04 April 1883 in South Germantown, Washington County, Wisconsin.6,2,7 He is ± buried in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Goldenthal.7 The burial location is in Area 1, Row 2, south/west corner.
The family marker and the two personal markers were erected by his son John who has identical markers for his family.
His occupation was that of Farmer; Gunsmith per 1880 census; in competition won/awarded the Scheutzen Koenig (rifle king) in 1830 in Bavaria as did his father in 1812 and his son John in 1847 who also did it in the United States in Chicago and New York. John emigrated at the age of 50 departing Wöerishofen, Bavaria [80 km west of Muenich]; through Havre, France arriving New York on 09 September 1858 via the ship John H Ryerson and entered the country through Castle Garden. Accompanying Michael were his wife Gertrude and their five children: Katherine, Christian (Adam), Hermann, Margaret, and Stephan. His son John was already in America having arrived the previous year.
